Our approach
Node is the vision of British industrial designers Ashley May and David Evans, whose aim is to deliver products that bring the true emotional power of live music into the home.
HYLIXA, the company’s first produced speaker, is designed, engineered and manufactured at Node’s Cambridge facility, with each product being carefully hand-finished.
With the launch of HYLIXA, Node commissioned TAC to create a new identity, printed materials and a website to showcase their current product range.
Identity
TAC assisted with naming, carrying out a full audit of the brand prior to starting the creative process. Once finalised, we developed a marque referencing the shape of a component used in creating the unique sound of HYLIXA. The marque is paired with a contrasting logotype which complements the luxury and functional products on offer.
Applying the brand
Across printed and online materials, a stripped back colour palette allows the brand to build clarity and familiarity.
The brand was extended into a full stationary set, brochure and brand guidelines upon completing the identity design.
Creating an identity framework
The new identity system allows the brand to create a distinctive aesthetic, reflecting their product innovations and creative ambition. To ensure consistency and build brand recognition, the system references the form of the marque and retains a refined approach to typography and layouts.
We’ve worked with TAC on a number of projects over the past 10 years; they have consistently created the ideal platform for us to display our products. Their technical expertise and design ethos has always ensured we are happy with their work. Node had a focus on not only creating a beautiful product, but also a desirable brand. TAC understood this instantly and developed a website which was perfectly tailored, to present our product.
