The brief
The Chartered College of Teaching is the professional body for the whole teaching profession in the UK. Their aim is to connect, support and celebrate all teachers and facilitate world-class education for pupils. To achieve this, TAC was appointed to design and build an online platform for Chartered College members.
The platform, My College, was to be a central hub for all the content, events, courses and opportunities that Chartered College offers to its 22,000 members.
Content-rich articles
The platform we built gives content publishers flexible tools to create engaging articles using an intuitive content management system.
Content can be added from a range or sources, and unique page layouts can be built easily using flexible blocks and a simple drag and drop interface.
Search and filtering
Powerful search and filter functionality, along with comprehensive article categorisation helps to organise content logically and allows users to find the content they are interested in quickly.
Visual queues are used to differentiate content types and distinguish between separate areas of the platform.
Flexible paywall
We integrated the platform with an existing login and account management functionality, resulting in a single point of sign on to all of Chartered College’s services.
We built a bespoke paywall that can be configured to allow a set number of free articles per month before signup is required. Specific articles can be marked as free to read, allowing Chartered College to target content for specific campaigns.
