Planning, designing and building a unique pop-up store in the Ouseburn

The project
Band of Climbers is a design collective based in the North East creating cycling apparel to support cyclists in the high mountains. Since beginning their journey in 2015, BoC has quickening grown its community and customer base in over 80 countries while building a social following reaching 155k riders.
TAC were commissioned to plan, design and building a unique and multifunctional pop-up store for BoC. Our design, while being cost-effective, needed to be flat pack as the store moves on to different locations.
The first pop-up store was in the Ouseburn, Newcastle upon Tyne, and brought together a community of riders over a weekend.

Planning and designing the store
In order to make best use of the temporary space, we visited the site with Band of Climbers owner, Stuart Anderson. Once agreeing on a preferred layout, we designed a series of 3D models and renders to help communicate our vision.
Working alongside a local furniture maker, our bespoke multifunctional system was manufactured then assembled on site. Including a series of brand details such as: window and wall vinyls and engraved branding, the system was designed to be easily assembled and disassembled by the BoC team.
